We have established an educational partnership with Cambridge University<\/strong>. Col\u00e9gio Quadrante is a Cambridge Educational Partner<\/strong>, implementing an integrative English programme that involves the entire educational community. It is also a Cambridge Preparation Center for English Qualifications<\/strong>, which allows students to take Cambridge exams in our school facilities.<\/p>\n Col\u00e9gio Quadrante invests in the early development of children’s communicative proficiency in English. We aim to integrate pedagogical digital technologies and innovation and improvement of learning, valuing interdisciplinarity and active methodologies supported by digital technology.<\/p>\n The project, developed in partnership with ROBOT N TIC<\/em>, has the following main objectives:<\/p>\n It has a side in Informatics area, in Programming and a side in Robotics. It is implemented in partnership with nutritionist Mariana Bessa, from Nutrir \u2013 Food and Nutrition Consultancy, and includes:<\/p>\n To Be Healthy menus focus on offering fresh fruits and vegetables, reducing meat consumption and reducing the use of refined sugars and salt.<\/p>\n To Be Healthy promotes the\u00a0regular physical activity and sports<\/strong>\u00a0in everyday school life, recognising their benefits and contributing to the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of students.<\/p>\n To Be Schools have numerous curricular and extracurricular activities related to physical activity and students develop projects on the topics of health education and healthy lifestyle habits. We see the various forms of artistic expression as central and transversal pillars in Education, which facilitate an opening of children and young people to the community and the world.<\/p>\n Our students have the opportunity, throughout their academic journey, from nursery, to experience various forms of artistic expression, developing varied skills: imagination, creativity, problem solving, resilience, ability to deal with uncertainty, critical thinking, and aesthetic and artistic sensitivity.<\/p>\n They co-build multiple learnings, through contact with various languages and the diversified teaching of the artistic area, namely in the areas of visual arts, music, and theatre. By experimenting different arts, instruments, materials, and techniques favours an active learning, working autonomy, self-knowledge, and recognition of emotions, and contributing to develop the creative potential.<\/p>\n We believe that the arts play an important role in promoting an inclusive educational environment that values diversity. We encourage experimentation and collaboration. We carry out transdisciplinary projects and dynamics, where knowledge from various disciplines intersects and integrates. We value the entire creative process, not just the final product.<\/p>\n We have a team of specialised teachers who implement our Education through Art project, and who bring Art into the daily life of the school. We hold exhibitions, presentations, parties, and other events, with the participation of the school and local community, where our students can show their work.
